Background
After succeeding at being the worst farm girl ever in her rural hometown in Alberta, Canada, Karen hopped on a plane and hasn’t looked back. She has lived in Vietnam and now makes her home in Dublin, Ireland.
With a background in print and broadcast production, a masters in Journalism and a love of Spanish language and literature, she has also worked with the Edmonton Journal, the Ottawa Citizen, and Ottawa Magazine, as well as spending her time penning travel blogs and her as-yet-incomplete sci-fi epic.
Travelling is her favourite way to experience the world, and in recent years she has traveled to Europe, Central America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. When she’s not scribbling away, she spends her time tap dancing, taking photographs, and acing crossword puzzles.
